A friend of Linda’s asked me to help out with designing a poster for their Chandelier Musicale which takes place on Saturday 28th May. Having not done anything in Illustrator for a ages it took me a while to find my way around. I really need to keep my hand in before I start forgetting it all. Anyway, thought you might like to see the finished poster which will be distributed around the West Coast next week.
Cathy Irons the lady who plays the violin in the Trio is a friend of Linda and Ashley’s from South Africa. She actually used to play with Greg when he was a lad! She now lives in Christchurch with her husband.
She’s sending me two complimentary tickets to the concert, so I’ll take Greg along with me as I’m sure he would like to meet her for a chat after the performance.
I’ve told her that if she knows of anyone who needs any graphic design work doing, I will do it free of charge. Firstly because I’m only on a visitor visa and secondly because I seriously need to get some practice in!
Any exposure will be good in the long run when it comes to finding work, so fingers crossed I might get a few more projects to work on.
