Truman’s Track

Truman’s P2190093 (Small)Track is about a 30 minute drive from Greymouth and just down the road from Punakaikie (Pancake Rocks).  It is a lovely wP2190095 (Small)alk through the forest and comes out at the sea front with a steep stairway down to the beach area.  We came across this pigeon sitting amongst the trees just off one of the walkways!

This tree on the left was absolutely huge.  It is in fact three trees that have attached themselves to a fourth tree that is growing in the centre.

Awesome!

You can get an idea how big it is from the photo below with Eloise standing next to it!

After our walk along Truman’s Track we decided to stop off at this roadside cafe/bar for a nice cold beer. Eloise remembered coming here on our last visit as she got to sit on the horses!
