We stopped off at Little River on our way to Akaroa for a snack at the Little River Gallery and to see some of the beautiful artwork on show.
It was a lovely drive from Christchurch, weather was really nice and the roads were fairly quiet. We
had our coffee in the garden at the back of the gallery, where we were joined by some little feathered friends!
While Greg was sorting out our order, myself and Eloise found a table outside. We had to laugh when a couple sat down at the next table with their tea and cake, because when they got up to go and view one of the sculptures, four little birds landed on the table and started nibbling on their cakes.
Don’t think they were amused, but we giggled our heads off!!
Here is another cheeky bird eyeballing our toasted sandwich from the top of the chair!
There were lots of cool things in the garden, including a hammock made from stainless steel. I bet that would make for an interesting experience on a scorching hot day!! ![]()
Here are a few more things we found there!
on to Akaroa………..
