We got to Akar
oa on Friday 11th February, i
t took us about 1.5 hours from Christchurch. The photos below show Akaroa in the distance, the place looks awesome.
After settling in to the holiday cottage we took a ride into town to go for a quick walk and to get a few things for supper. It’s a small town with lots of quaint little houses and art galleries, tea gardens and pavement cafe’s. There are a few restaurants down at the waters edge and a small pier where you can book boat tours.
There’s a very relaxed vibe in the town and we couldn’t wait to come back on Saturday morning to do more sightseeing!
